One of the most celebrated cinematic interpretations of Stephen King is the two-film adaptation of his seminal horror novel 'It.' Directed. There's also Get Out, which has a legitimate shot at a Best Picture nomination, among other things. The upcoming series Welcome to Derry will serve as an official prequel to the two Stephen King -based IT movies from Andy Muschietti, and Warner Bros. John Wayne Gacy painted a portrait of Pennywise. IT has grossed a staggering $671 million worldwide, so it would certainly bring attention to the Academy Awards to nominate such a popular movie. It's also worth remembering that 2017 has truly been a monumental year for studio horror. That's some pretty good company to be in. By the time Curry played Pennywise in the TV miniseries 'It,' he was already something of a household name and an actor you instantly recognized when you saw him on screen. is submitting for consideration are Blade Runner 2049, Dunkirk, The LEGO Batman Movie and Wonder Woman. However, Best Picture looks to be a pipe dream at this point. He had an appearance in the 2000 film White Water Fury. And, considering the movie's insane success, there's certainly an argument to be made for Andy Muschietti for Best Director. In reality, he first tried his hand at professional acting as a child. Then there are dark horse shots, like getting Bill Skarsgard, who brilliantly brought Pennywise to life for a new generation, a Best Supporting Actor nomination. Geared up to stream on HBO Max, the show is set to explore Pennywise the Dancing Clowns life in the early 1960s, and lead up to the events of 2017s It, which takes place over two decades later. Categories like Best Makeup and Hairstyling and Best Costume Design are reasonable. That said, it's not too crazy to think the movie could nab a few nominations. is putting it out there and is holding official screenings for Academy members.
